Motor protection breaker with MicroLogic 1.3 M
The C40V31M320 is a Schneider Electric ComPacT NSX circuit breaker with a 320 A rated current at 65 °C and a MicroLogic 1.3 M electronic trip unit. It is designed specifically for motor protection, with short-time (S) and instantaneous (I) protection curves. The breaker carries an 85 kA Icu breaking capacity at 500 V AC 50/60 Hz per IEC 60947-2, which means it can safely interrupt a fault current up to that level without upstream damage — critical for high-fault panels feeding motor loads.
Selectivity and coordination for motor circuits
The MicroLogic 1.3 M trip unit provides adjustable short-time pickup and delay (S protection) plus instantaneous (I) protection, allowing selective coordination with downstream contactors and overload relays.
