The C63W45E630 is a ComPacT NSX630HB2 moulded-case circuit breaker rated 630 A at 40 °C, with a full-rated breaking capacity of 100 kA Icu at 690 V AC 50/60 Hz per IEC 60947-2. That HB2 suffix means the frame is sized for the highest interrupting duty in the NSX line — 100 kA holds all the way from 500 V through 690 V, so you don't lose headroom on a 480 V or 600 V distribution board. Four poles, utilisation category A, with front-front connections (both line and load side accessible from the front panel).
MicroLogic 5.3 E — energy metering and thermal memory
The electronic trip unit is a MicroLogic 5.3 E, which gives you L (long-time overload), S (short-time short-circuit), and I (instantaneous) protection curves. What sets the 'E' variant apart is the integrated energy metering — it communicates demand current, power, power quality, and time-stamped event tables, so this breaker doubles as a panel-level power monitor without a separate meter. The LCD display shows local readings and LED signalling for ready-to-operate (green), 90 % Ir overload warning (orange), and 105 % Ir overload trip (red).
Active production — no obsolescence concern
Lifecycle status is current — this is an active catalogue item, not a last-time-buy or end-of-life SKU. No successor part number exists because none is needed.
Mounts on a backplate (not DIN-rail — this is a bolted-frame breaker). Accepts horizontal or vertical orientation, flat against the back. Overall dimensions: 255 mm high, 185 mm wide, 110 mm deep. Connection pitch is 45 mm per pole. Six accessory slots are available for shunt trips, aux contacts, or communication modules. Operates at 0–2000 m without derating; derate above that altitude.
Durability and environmental range
Mechanical durability is 15,000 cycles. Electrical durability depends on voltage and current: 8,000 cycles at 440 V at half rated current (In/2), 4,000 cycles at 440 V at full In, 6,000 cycles at 690 V at In/2, and 2,000 cycles at 690 V at full In. Relative humidity range 0–95 %. Standards: EN/IEC 60947-2.
