The CR1F150FZ7 is a TeSys F magnetic latching contactor from Schneider Electric, configured with 3 normally open power poles and rated for 150 A operational current in AC-3 duty at 40 °C.
Control Circuit and Latching Behaviour
The 110 V DC control circuit draws 500 W during the latching pulse and only 15 W during unlatching, so the coil is energised only transiently. The control voltage limits are 0.85 to 1.1 times Uc for both latching and unlatching, meaning the supply must hold within 93.5–121 V DC for reliable operation. Operating time is 35–40 ms to latch and 50–100 ms to unlatch.
Thermal and Electrical Ratings
Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4 and BS 775, with a rated impulse withstand voltage suitable for 1500 V group C per VDE 0110. The rated short-time withstand current holds 1200 A for 10 seconds at 40 °C, and the rated breaking capacity reaches 1500 A at 220–440 V. Average impedance per pole is 0.45 mOhm, so power dissipation runs 6 W per pole in AC-3 and 18 W per pole in AC-1 duty. Associated fuse protection is 160 A aM or 250 A gG at up to 440 V.
Power connections accept lugs, ring terminals, or bars up to 120 mm², bolted at a tightening torque of 18 N·m.
