The CR1F1854G7 is a TeSys F magnetic latching contactor from Schneider Electric, a 4-pole device with 4 normally open power poles. It is rated for a control circuit voltage of 127 V AC 50...400 Hz or 127 V DC, with latching and unlatching voltage limits of 0.85...1.1 Uc. The contactor is designed for motor control and resistive load applications, covering utilisation categories AC-1, AC-3, and AC-4. Its rated operational current is 185 A at AC-4 duty for voltages up to 440 V, with a rated operational voltage of 1000 V AC 25...200 Hz. The contactor switches motor loads up to 100 kW at 1000 V AC, 110 kW at 690 V AC, and 90 kW at 380...400 V AC. For UL/CSA applications, it handles 150 hp at 575...600 V AC and 125 hp at 460...480 V AC for three-phase motors. The magnetic latching mechanism holds the contactor closed without continuous coil power, consuming 1750 VA (AC or DC) during latching and only 11 VA during unlatching. Operating time is 35...40 ms for latching and 50...100 ms for unlatching. This makes it suitable for applications where sustained coil power is undesirable, such as in energy-sensitive or backup-power circuits.
Mounting and integration in the panel
Mounts on a notched AM1-EC rail or directly to a panel, with dimensions of 7.1 in (181 mm) depth, 8.2 in (208.5 mm) width, and 6.9 in (174 mm) height. Power connections use bars (2 x 25 x 3 mm) or ring terminals up to 0.2 in² (150 mm²). Tightening torque is 159.3 lbf.in (18 N.m). Associated fuse ratings for the power circuit are 200 A aM, 315 A BS88, or 315 A gG at up to 440 V. The contactor has a rated breaking capacity of 1800 A at 220...440 V, 1600 A at 500 V, and 600 A at 1000 V for the power circuit.
Complies with VDE 0660, BS 5424, NF C 63-110, IEC 60947-4, and JEM 1038 standards. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60158-1, IEC 60947-4, and BS 775, with 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. The protective treatment is TH (tropicalised/humid environment). Operating temperature range is -15...70 °C, storage -60...80 °C.
