The Schneider Electric CR1F1854GZ7 is a TeSys F magnetic latching contactor, a 4-pole device rated for 185 A operational current in AC-3 duty at ≤ 440 V. It's a control-circuit component for switching resistive and motor loads, built for panel integration with bar and lug-ring terminal connections. The 127 V DC low-consumption coil draws 500 W to latch and 20 W to unlatch, with operating times of 35...40 ms latching and 50...100 ms unlatching. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4 and BS 775, with an impulse withstand voltage of 8 kV. The conventional free air thermal current is 275 A at 104 °F (40 °C).
Motor power and ratings
Motor power ratings span 55 kW at 220...230 V AC to 110 kW at 690 V AC, with UL/CSA horsepower ratings from 50 hp at 200...208 V to 150 hp at 575...600 V for 3-phase motors. The utilisation categories cover AC-1 (resistive), AC-3 (motor starting), and AC-4 (inching/plugging). Rated breaking capacity reaches 1800 A at 220...440 V, 1600 A at 500 V, and 600 A at 1000 V. Making capacity is 2100 A rms. Short-time withstand current is 1500 A for up to 10 seconds at 104 °F (40 °C). Average impedance is 0.36 mOhm at Ith 275 A, 50 Hz. Power dissipation per pole is 12 W in AC-3 and 26 W in AC-1 duty.
Associated fuse ratings are 200 A aM, 315 A BS88, and 315 A gG at ≤ 440 V.
Environmental and installation
Operating temperature range is 5...158 °F (-15...70 °C), with storage from -76...176 °F (-60...80 °C). Operating altitude is 9842.52 ft (3000 m) without derating. Protective treatment is TH (tropicalised). Dimensions are 7.1 in (181 mm) deep, 8.2 in (208.5 mm) wide, and 6.9 in (174 mm) high. Tightening torque is 159.3 lbf.in (18 N.m). Terminals accept bars 2 x 25 x 3 mm, lug-ring terminals, and connectors up to 0.2 in² (150 mm²).
