The CR1F185MB7 is a Schneider Electric TeSys F magnetic latching contactor — a three-pole device rated for 185 A operational current (AC-3 duty) and a conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) of 275 A at 40 °C. It's built for motor control and resistive loads, with a control circuit that accepts 220 V AC/DC for latching and 24 V AC/DC for unlatching. Magnetic latching means the contactor holds its state without continuous coil power — the coil draws 1600 VA AC only during the latching pulse, then drops to near-zero holding current. That's useful in applications where a sustained coil draw is undesirable, such as battery-backed or energy-conscious control panels.
Motor power spans 55 kW at 220-230 V up to 110 kW at 690 V AC, so this contactor covers a wide voltage range without changing frame size. Short-time withstand (Icw) is 1500 A for up to 10 seconds — enough to coordinate with upstream fuses or a motor circuit protector. This is a panel-mount contactor — 174 mm high, 168.5 mm wide, 181 mm deep. The connection terminals accept busbars up to 25 x 3 mm, ring terminals up to 150 mm², or lugs. Tightening torque is 18 N.m on the main power connections, which is typical for this frame size. The TH protective treatment means it's tropicalized — suitable for humid or mildly corrosive environments, though not for direct washdown.
