The CR1F4004N7 is a 4-pole magnetic latching contactor from the Schneider Electric TeSys F range. Rated 400 A in AC-3 duty at ≤440 V, it handles motor loads up to 200 kW at 380-400 V or 185 kW at 1000 V. The 4 NO power pole configuration means it switches four independent phases or two three-phase loads with a spare pole.
This is a panel-inside part, not a field-mounted enclosure. Operating altitude goes to 3000 m without derating, which covers most installations outside high-mountain sites.
Coil and control circuit details
The latching coil draws 1600 VA during the latching pulse and 16 VA to hold the unlatching state — that's a big inrush, so size your control transformer for the peak, not the hold. Operating time is 40-75 ms to latch, 50-100 ms to unlatch.
Complies with IEC 60947-4, VDE 0660, BS 5424, NF C 63-110, and JEM 1038. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4 and 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. The protective treatment is TH (tropicalized) for humid environments.
