The Schneider Electric CR1F4004Q7 is a TeSys F magnetic latching contactor with 4 normally-open power poles, rated for 400 A operational current in AC-3 duty at up to 440 V AC. It is designed for resistive and motor control applications, switching loads up to 185 kW at 1000 V AC or 250 hp at 460-480 V (UL/CSA). The latching coil holds the main contacts closed without continuous power draw — the control circuit (380-400 V AC, 50/60 Hz) only needs a pulse to latch or unlatch, consuming 1600 VA during the latching pulse and 16 VA during unlatching.
The 400 A AC-3 rating is the motor-switching current — it governs the largest induction motor this contactor can handle under starting and running conditions. For resistive loads (AC-1), the thermal current Ith is 500 A at 50 Hz, with a power dissipation of 70 W per pole.
Mounts on a Notched AM1-EC rail — the standard TeSys F backplate. Dimensions are 8.6 in (219 mm) deep, 10.3 in (261 mm) wide, and 8.1 in (206 mm) tall. Power connections accept lugs or ring terminals for up to 2 x 150 mm² cable, or bars up to 30 x 5 mm. Tightening torque is 35 N.m on the power terminals.
