The CR1F630N7 is a 3-pole magnetic latching contactor from the Schneider Electric TeSys F range. Rated for AC-1, AC-3, and AC-4 utilisation categories, it handles resistive loads and motor starting/plugging duties. Motor power ratings span 200 kW at 220–230 V up to 450 kW at 1000 V AC (50/60 Hz). UL/CSA motor horsepower ratings are also listed: 800 hp at 575–600 V. The latching mechanism holds the main contacts closed without continuous coil power, which cuts standby losses. Control circuit voltage is 415 V AC 50/60 Hz, with latching and unlatching power consumption spiking to 2300 VA during the switching transient, then dropping to 11 VA for hold.
For AC-4 duty (plugging/inching), the rating drops to 560 A at ≤440 V — a real derating that matters if your motor cycle includes frequent reversals. Rated breaking capacity reaches 6300 A at 220–440 V, tapering to 3200 A at 1000 V. This tells you the fault current the contactor can interrupt without welding contacts. Pair it with the associated fuse rating (630 A aM or gG) for coordinated protection. Mechanical durability is rated at 1 million cycles. The maximum operating rate is 120 cycles per hour at 40 °C — fine for most process conveyors and pump starts, but not for high-speed indexing applications.
Mounts on a notched AM1-EC rail. Operates without derating up to 3000 m altitude. Above that, expect reduced dielectric strength and cooling — consult the thermal derating curve if your site is above 3000 m.
Compliance with VDE 0660, IEC 60947-4, BS 5424, JEM 1038, and NF C 63-110 standards is listed. The rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4 and 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. Protective treatment is TH (tropicalised) for humid environments.
