The Schneider Electric CV1BF2F0ZF511 is a TeSys B series contactor, 2-pole normally open configuration, rated for 80 A in AC-3 duty at 690 V AC. That AC-3 rating means it's sized for switching squirrel-cage motors — starting, stopping, and running under load — not just resistive heating. The coil pulls in on 110 V AC at 50 Hz, a common control voltage in European and Asian panel designs.
The 80 A rated operational current is the AC-3 figure — the one that governs motor switching. For resistive loads (AC-1), the same contactor can carry more, but the AC-3 number is the one you size against your motor FLA. The 2-pole NO configuration is straightforward for single-phase motor or line switching; the built-in 1 NO + 1 NC auxiliary contact block handles feedback to the PLC or status indication without an add-on module.
The TeSys B form factor snaps onto DIN rail — standard 35 mm. The 2-pole body is compact, leaving room for auxiliary blocks or a thermal overload relay in the same rail segment. Coil inrush at 110 V AC is brief but needs to be within the PLC relay or control transformer rating; check the coil VA inrush against your output card's maximum per-channel current. The spring-cage terminals accept 0.2–2.5 mm² solid or ferruled stranded; strip to 8 mm for a clean connection.
