The EZS100F3040 is a 3-pole EasyPact EZS molded case circuit breaker with a 40 A thermal-magnetic TM-D trip unit. The 40 A rating at 40 °C is the continuous current it carries without tripping in a 40 °C ambient — if your panel runs hotter, you derate. The 60 kA Icu at 240 V AC is the maximum fault current it can safely interrupt once without needing replacement; at 400 V that drops to 30 kA, so verify your available fault current at the point of installation. The integral instantaneous protection is set at 500 kA, which means the magnetic trip responds to very high short-circuits essentially instantaneously — the thermal element handles overloads. Rated operational voltage is 440 V AC and insulation voltage 690 V, so it's comfortable on standard 400 V distribution panels. Mounting is fixed backplate with front-front connections and a 25 mm connection pitch. The toggle handle gives positive on/off indication.
Designed and tested to EN 60947-2 and IEC 60947-2. The breaking capacity figures are certified under those standards at each voltage point. Mechanical durability is 13,000 cycles per EN/IEC 60947-2; electrical durability is 4,000 cycles at 415 V at half rated current. IK07 impact resistance means it survives a 2 J hammer blow — relevant for panel assembly handling.
