What the 100 A / 15 kA rating means for your panel
The G12E4A100 is a 4-pole GoPact MCCB 125 rated 100 A at 40 °C with a TM-D thermal-magnetic trip unit. The thermal element responds to sustained overcurrents; the magnetic element trips instantaneously on a high fault. No ground-fault or electronic adjustment here — it's a fixed-curve thermal-magnetic breaker, so you're relying on the factory-set magnetic pickup. For a distribution application (its listed device application), that's standard: you get selectivity with downstream MCBs by virtue of the MCCB's higher magnetic threshold. It's rated for isolation per EN/IEC 60947-2, meaning when the handle is in the OFF position you can safely work downstream — no need for a separate disconnect switch. The toggle control gives positive visual indication of contact position.
Mounting and integration into a panel
Fixed-mount, backplate-mounted via screw terminals. The 4-pole footprint is 100 mm wide, 130 mm high, 60 mm deep — a compact envelope for a 100 A MCCB. Connection pitch is 25 mm, which matches standard busbar systems. Both line and load connections are front-facing, so you can land cables without reaching behind the panel. Neutral is on the left, and the protected poles description is 4D — all four poles are protected, with neutral protection set at 1 x Ir. Mount it horizontally or vertically flat on the backplate — no derating needed for orientation. IP20 finger-safe protection on the front, but the terminals are live when the breaker is on; standard panel guarding applies. Overvoltage category III suits fixed-installation distribution boards. That heat must be vented in a sealed enclosure.
Standards compliance covers EN/IEC 60947-1, EN/IEC 60947-2, and Annex H. No separate UL or CSA listing is available for this order code.
