It carries a making capacity of 630 A at 400 V AC-23B and a breaking capacity of 500 A at the same duty, so it can close onto and interrupt motor starting currents within those limits without welding or arcing damage. The 63 A rating at 400 V AC-23B is the headline figure for motor switching; at 690 V AC-23A/AC-23B it still delivers 55 kW, which covers higher-voltage motor circuits in European 690 V distribution.
Mounts on a rail or plate — the body accepts an external frontal or right-side operating handle, so panel layout can route the handle to the enclosure door or side. Power terminals accept 10 to 25 mm² flexible cable on screw terminals; control-circuit torque is 3.2 N·m.
Built to IEC 60269-1, IEC 60269-2, and IEC 60947-3 — the first two cover low-voltage fuse requirements, the third covers switch-disconnector performance. The body and fuse cover pass a glow-wire test at 960 °C and 850 °C respectively per IEC 60695-2-1, which matters for fire-resistance compliance in panel builds. Rated insulation voltage is 750 V AC, impulse withstand 8 kV.
