Valve construction and materials
The GV210R-40B24 is a 2-way globe valve in the VG210R series, sized DN40 with Rp internal threads. The bronze body carries a stainless steel ASTM A276 Gr.316 plug and trim, with an EPDM seating seal and brass UNS C36000 packing. The stem-up-open configuration and 11 mm stroke are standard for this equal-percentage trim.
Flow performance and shutoff
Rated Kvs 24 with a rangeability greater than 50:1, the equal-percentage characteristic matches the gain curve of most heat exchangers and coils — the flow change per unit of lift stays proportional to the installed pressure drop, which is what a commissioning engineer expects for a modulating control loop. Seat leakage meets Class IV (0.01 % of rated Cv), adequate for tight shutoff in hydronic systems where a dribble past the seat would waste energy.
Medium compatibility and temperature range
Rated for water and water-glycol mixtures up to 60 % concentration, with an operating fluid temperature of -7 to 100 °C. The EPDM seal and 316 SS trim resist glycol degradation and corrosion in closed-loop HVAC or process-water circuits. Pressure class PN16 covers typical building-services and light industrial headers.
