The GV2DM222F7 is a reversing motor starter combination from the TeSys Deca range — a factory-assembled block that pairs a GV2ME motor circuit breaker with a 3-pole reversing contactor on a GV2AF3 combination base. Its thermal protection adjustment range of 20 to 25 A and control circuit voltage of 110 V AC 50/60 Hz define the motor current and coil supply it expects. The magnetic trip is fixed at 327 A, which clears short-circuit faults before the contactor welds shut, provided the upstream protection is coordinated to Type 1.
The 20-25 A thermal adjustment range sets the motor full-load current it can protect — a 25 A setting, for example, suits an 11 kW motor at 400/415 V (AC-3 duty) or a 15 kW motor at 500 V. The 110 V AC 50/60 Hz coil means the control transformer or PLC output driving it must supply exactly that voltage; a 24 VDC or 230 VAC control circuit will not pick this contactor. Type 1 coordination means the starter may be damaged after a fault and require replacement of the contactor; if the process cannot tolerate that downtime, a Type 2 coordination design would be needed.
Physical integration
The assembly measures 90 mm wide by 186.8 mm high by 105.9 mm deep. The depth of 105.9 mm means the gland plate and door clearance must accommodate that projection plus wiring space — a shallow enclosure may not close cleanly with the reversing contactor's coil terminals and power cables dressed.
