What it is and why you’re here
GV2ME04A is a 3-pole motor circuit breaker from the TeSys Deca family, rated 0.63 A line current with a thermal-magnetic trip unit. It clips onto 35 mm DIN rail (45 mm wide, 78.5 mm deep) and is meant for motor protection in panels or machine control. The magnetic trip picks up at 9.3 A, and it’s phase-failure sensitive—so it covers both overload and single-phasing on three-phase motors. Breaking capacity is 100 kA at up to 690 V AC. It's Category A per IEC 60947-2 and rated for motor switching per IEC 60947-4-1.
What the ratings mean for fit
The 0.63 A is fixed—set at the factory for that line current. Magnetic trip at 9.3 A protects against shorts. Power dissipation is 2.5 W per pole, so the breaker runs cool even at full load. For high-density panels, that matters more than you’d think. Suitable for isolation (per IEC 60947-1), so it doubles as a disconnect if the panel’s safety scheme allows downstream work without a separate switch.
Sourcing reality
No direct plug-and-play replacement; the GV2ME family shares the same footprint across ratings (45 mm wide, same mounting), but each ampere rating is a fixed overcurrent setting. If the BOM says 0.63 A, stick with this code.
