It gives you coordinated motor starting and overload protection in a single DIN-rail footprint, sized for small three-phase motors up to 1.1 kW at 500 V. Rated for AC-3 utilisation category, the thermal adjustment range covers 1.6 to 2.5 A, with a magnetic trip set at 33.5 A for short-circuit protection. The control coil is 110 V AC 50/60 Hz. Breaking capacity hits 50 kA Iq at 400/415 V and 440 V, and also at 500 V — that's the prospective fault current it can safely interrupt under IEC 60947-4-1, which is the standard for motor-starter coordination. Type 1 coordination means the starter may need contact replacement after a fault, but the breaker clears it without upstream damage.
The assembly occupies a 45 mm wide by 152 mm high by 87 mm deep footprint on the DIN rail. That 87 mm depth is the whole combined block — breaker, contactor, and base — so it fits standard 100 mm deep enclosures without a gland-plate clearance issue. The 3-pole power terminals accept the motor cable; the control circuit is 110 V AC, so plan a separate control transformer if your panel runs 24 V DC auxiliaries.
