The GV2ME08K2P7 is a reversing direct-on-line (DOL) combination motor starter from the Schneider TeSys GV2-ME family. It integrates a 3-pole motor circuit breaker with thermal and magnetic protection, a reversing contactor pair, and an interlock block (GV2AF01) into a single 45 mm wide package that snaps onto DIN rail. Its thermal protection adjustment range of 2.5...4 A sets the overload trip point for the connected motor. The magnetic short-circuit trip is fixed at 51 A, providing instantaneous protection against high fault currents. Rated for AC-3 utilisation category (switching squirrel-cage motors), it delivers 50 kA breaking capacity at 400/415 V AC, certified to IEC 60947-4-1. Motor power ratings span 1.1 kW at 400/415 V up to 2.2 kW at 500 V, depending on line voltage.
The 2.5...4 A thermal adjustment range directly sets the full-load motor current you can protect. A motor nameplated at, say, 3.2 A FLA falls within this band; one at 5 A does not. The 51 A magnetic trip handles locked-rotor inrush without nuisance tripping on start. The 45 mm width and 152 mm height fit standard DIN-rail enclosures. Depth of 87 mm is the dimension from the DIN rail mounting surface to the front of the device — check gland-plate clearance if the enclosure is shallow.
