The GV2ME14K2U7 is a reversing DOL combination motor starter from the TeSys GV2-ME range, integrating a 3-pole motor circuit breaker, a 3-pole reversing contactor, and a combination block into a single unit. It is sized for reversing motor loads up to 3 kW at 400/415 V AC or 5.5 kW at 500 V AC in AC-3 duty, with a thermal protection adjustment range of 6...10 A. The 230/240 V AC control circuit voltage matches standard European panel supplies, and the reversing contactor pair handles direction switching without external interlocking — the mechanical interlock is built into the combination block.
Breaking capacity and coordination — what the ratings mean
The breaking capacity is 50 kA Iq at 400/415 V AC, certified to IEC 60947-4-1. At 500 V AC the breaking capacity drops to 6 kA, so verify the fault level at the point of installation if running on a 500 V line. The magnetic tripping current is fixed at 138 A, which is roughly 13.8 times the upper thermal setting of 10 A. That gives a fast magnetic trip for short-circuit conditions while the thermal bimetal handles overloads in the 6...10 A adjustment range.
The combination block GV2AF01 is included, so the reversing contactor and breaker are mechanically interlocked and pre-wired — no additional bus bars or jumpers needed for the reversing function.
