The GV2ME16K2V7 is a reversing DOL combination starter from the Schneider Electric TeSys GV2-ME range — a single block that integrates a motor circuit breaker, a 3-pole reversing contactor, and an auxiliary contact block (GV2AF01) into one DIN-rail-mounted unit. It is rated for AC-3 motor starting duty with a thermal protection adjustment range of 9...14 A, so it directly protects and reverses a motor drawing up to 14 A full-load current.
Motor power capability: 5.5 kW at 400/415 V AC, 5.5 kW at 440 V, and 7.5 kW at 500 V. On a 400 V line this starter handles a standard 5.5 kW four-pole induction motor; on 500 V it steps up to 7.5 kW. The thermal dial sets the overload trip between 9 A and 14 A, so it matches motors with FLC in that band. Breaking capacity: 15 kA at 400/415 V (IEC 60947-4-1), dropping to 8 kA at 440 V and 6 kA at 500 V. On a 400 V supply with a prospective fault current up to 15 kA, this starter clears the fault without upstream fuse or breaker intervention — Type 1 coordination means the starter may need contact replacement after a fault, but the rest of the panel stays intact. Magnetic trip threshold is fixed at 170 A — that is the instantaneous short-circuit pickup. Below that, the thermal bimetal handles overloads; above it, the magnetic trip opens the breaker in under a cycle.
Product status is active (current production).
