The GV2ME20A: Breaking capacity: 100 kA at 230 V AC, 15 kA at 400 V – plenty for most industrial panels, but watch the drop to 3 kA at 690 V; if your upstream fault current is higher at that voltage, you'll need a current-limiting device ahead. The 18 A thermal rating is the maximum continuous current through the breaker; set the thermal dial lower for the actual motor FLA. Magnetic trip is fixed at 341 A (about 19x In), so it clears short-circuit faults fast without nuisance trips on high-inrush loads.
It carries EN/IEC 60947-2, 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1 certifications – that's a global ticket. Also tested to IEC/EN 60335-2-40 Annex JJ for HVACR applications, which is a bonus if it's going into a heat pump or refrigeration panel. IP20 on the front face is standard for enclosure mounting; no extra finger-safe shrouds needed.
