It protects motor feeders against short-circuit and overload in a single device, combining the functions of a circuit breaker and a motor starter protector in one 45 mm wide package. Rated 32 A continuous (In) with a thermal adjustment range of 24–32 A, it matches a 15 kW motor at 400/415 V AC, 18.5 kW at 500 V, or 22 kW at 690 V. The magnetic trip is fixed at 537.6 A — 16.8 times In — so it clears bolted faults fast without nuisance tripping on motor inrush. Breaking capacity (Icu) reaches 50 kA at 230/240 V, 10 kA at 400/415 V, and 3 kA at 690 V, per IEC 60947-2.
Depth is 78.5 mm, height 101 mm. Power terminals accept snap-in connections: 2 x 0.75–4 mm² solid, or 2 x 0.75–6 mm² flexible without ferrule, or 2 x 0.75–4 mm² flexible with ferrule. That covers standard motor cable sizes up to 6 mm² for the 32 A rating. Suitable for dry indoor panels; not for outdoor or wet environments without an enclosure.
Compliance documentation covers EN/IEC 60947-2, EN/IEC 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, plus IEC/EN 60335-2-40 Annex JJ for heat-pump applications and IEC/EN 60335-1 Clause 30.2 for glow-wire. The fire-resistance rating is 960 °C per IEC 60695-2-11.
Electrical durability is 100,000 cycles at 415 V under AC-3 load, matching the mechanical durability of 100,000 cycles. Power dissipation per pole is 2.5 W, so total heat load in the enclosure is 7.5 W at rated current. Phase-failure sensitivity is built in per IEC 60947-4-1 — the breaker trips on loss of one phase, protecting the motor from single-phasing.
