The GV2P01 is a 3-pole motor circuit breaker from Schneider's TeSys Deca range, rated 0.16 A with a thermal-magnetic trip unit and a breaking capacity of 100 kA across voltages from 230 to 690 V AC. This lowest-current variant in the GV2P line is sized for fractional-horsepower motors — think small conveyor drives, fan motors, or pump starters in cement plant auxiliary systems where the line is down on a 0.16 A overload. Phase failure sensitivity per IEC 60947-4-1 means the breaker drops out if one phase goes missing, a real risk when vibration on a crusher feeder shakes a terminal loose. The thermal-magnetic unit gives both slow overload protection and instantaneous magnetic trip at 1.93 A, so it catches winding shorts without waiting for the bimetal to heat through.
Lifecycle & sourcing status
Compliance suite covers the major gate standards: UL 60947-4-1, CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-2, IEC/EN 60335-2-40 Annex JJ (heating appliance) and IEC/EN 60335-1 Clause 30.2 (glow-wire). Fire resistance passes 960 °C glow-wire per IEC 60695-2-11 – panel builders in hot environments (like a kiln control room) can trust the enclosure won't propagate flame.
Mounting & wiring in the panel
Accepts horizontal or vertical orientation. Depth is 97 mm (3.8 in), width 45 mm (1.8 in). Power circuit terminals accept 1…6 mm² solid or 1.5…6 mm² flexible without cable end, or 1…4 mm² with ferruled end. Tightening torque 1.7 N·m (15.05 lbf·in).
Harsh environment resilience
IP20 guards against finger contact and dust ingress; IK04 impact resistance handles accidental tool drops inside the panel. Mechanical durability 100,000 cycles, electrical durability 100,000 cycles at AC-3 rated current. Shock rated 30 Gn for 11 ms, vibration 5 Gn across 5…150 Hz – enough for service near a raw mill foundation.
