Motor protection breaker for 25 A loads
The GV2P22 is a 3-pole thermal-magnetic motor circuit breaker from the TeSys Deca range, rated 25 A uninterrupted. Breaking capacity reaches 100 kA Icu at 230/240 V AC, tapering to 50 kA at 400/415 V, 20 kA at 440 V, 10 kA at 500 V, and 4 kA at 690 V. That 100 kA figure gives headroom for high-fault installations, but watch the voltage derating. Utilisation category AC-3 and AC-3e per IEC 60947-4-1, so it handles squirrel-cage motors through starting and running. Phase failure sensitivity is built in – a standard feature for motor protection, not an add-on.
Installation and wiring
Accepts horizontal or vertical orientation. Screw clamp terminals accept up to 6 mm² solid or 4 mm² flexible with ferrule; torque to 1.7 N·m. IP20 finger-safe, IK04 impact resistance. Mechanical durability rated 100,000 cycles; electrical durability matches that at AC-3, 415 V. Good for frequent starting applications. Screw terminals accept wire from 1 mm² solid to 6 mm² – sized for typical motor branch circuits. The 45 mm width leaves room alongside other TeSys Deca components on the rail.
Listed under EN/IEC 60947-2, EN/IEC 60947-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1. Also passes glow wire at 960 °C per IEC 60695-2-11, relevant for appliance applications. Fire resistance and isolation suitability (IEC 60947-1) are documented.
