Overview

The HMIG5U is a Schneider Harmony GTU HMI CPU base unit, order code HMIG5U, with an Intel X86 1.3 GHz processor, 2 GB RAM, and 16 GB CFast data storage. It runs Windows Embedded 7 and includes dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, serial RS232/422/485, USB, and DVI-D video output. Supply is 24 V DC with panel-mount installation.

Applications

As an HMI CPU, the HMIG5U provides operator interface and supervisory control for industrial machinery, packaging lines, material handling, and process skids.

The Intel X86 1.3 GHz processor and 2 GB RAM support runtime environments including Vijeo Designer, Vijeo Citect web client, and.NET Framework 4.0, enabling complex visualization and data logging. The 16 GB CFast card stores application files and logs, while dual Ethernet ports allow simultaneous plant network and programming access. Serial ports (RS232/422/485) and USB provide connectivity to legacy controllers and peripherals.
