Overview
The HMIG5UFC is a Schneider Electric Harmony GTU Open Box HMI base unit — a panel-mount operator interface built around an Intel X86 processor running at 1.3 GHz with Windows Embedded 7. It carries 2 GB of RAM and a 16 GB CFast card for local data storage, and ships with a pre-loaded software stack that includes Internet Explorer, Vijeo Citect web client, Vijeo Designer runtime,.NET Framework 4.0, Adobe PDF reader, CAD viewer, multimedia player, Office reader, and a VNC client/server. Supply is 24 V DC with natural convection cooling; the unit measures 187.96 mm wide by 132.08 mm high by 45.72 mm deep.
The HMIG5UFC runs a full Windows Embedded 7 environment on an Intel X86 1.3 GHz processor, giving it the capability to host multiple runtime applications simultaneously — Vijeo Designer for HMI screens, Vijeo Citect web client for remote SCADA access, and third-party viewers for PDFs, CAD drawings, and office documents. The 2 GB RAM and 16 GB CFast card provide enough headroom for medium-complexity projects with recipe management, alarm logging, and trend data. Communication is handled through dual RJ45 Ethernet ports supporting 10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T with Modbus TCP/IP and Uni-Telway protocols, plus an RS485 port and an RS232/422/485 port on SUB-D 9 connectors.

The Open Box form factor is designed for panel cut-out mounting. Overall dimensions are 187.96 mm width, 132.08 mm height, and 45.72 mm depth — the unit fits a standard rectangular cut-out; verify the exact opening dimensions from the installation manual before cutting. Natural convection cooling means no fan clearance is required, but ambient air temperature must stay within the rated 32 °C operating limit.

The HMIG5UFC provides dual RJ45 Ethernet ports (10BASE-T/100BASE-TX/1000BASE-T) supporting Modbus TCP/IP and Uni-Telway protocols. Serial connectivity includes an RS485 port (RJ45, 110 to 115200 bit/s) and an RS232/422/485 port (SUB-D 9, 110 to 115200 bit/s).
