Overview
The HMIRSPFXR6702 is a Schneider Harmony iPC industrial rack PC, a 4U 19" rack-mount platform built around an Intel Xeon quad-core 1225 processor running at 3.1 GHz with 8 MB cache. It ships with Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate and includes 4 GB DDR3 RAM standard, expandable to 32 GB. Power is handled by a redundant 500 W AC supply, and the chassis is rated IP40 for in-cabinet use.
As a centralised control and visualisation platform, the HMIRSPFXR6702 runs SCADA, HMI, and data-logging applications directly on its Windows 7 OS. The Intel Xeon quad-core processor with 8 MB cache handles multi-threaded workloads such as recipe management, alarm handling, and historian databases without choking on I/O scans. Memory is DDR3, with one 4 GB stick fitted by default and three additional slots available for a total of 32 GB. Connectivity includes dual Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 2.0, two USB 3.0, one VGA, one DVI, one RS232 serial port (with four optional), and audio I/O. Expansion is handled through three PCI slots and four PCI Express 16x slots, accommodating vision frame grabbers, additional serial/fieldbus cards, or motion control interfaces.
Applications
This class of industrial rack PC is deployed as a central SCADA node, HMI server, or data concentrator in manufacturing lines, packaging plants, water treatment facilities, and material-handling systems. The 4U form factor fits standard 19" cabinets alongside PLC racks and drives, and the redundant power supply suits continuous-process environments where uptime is critical.
The HMIRSPFXR6702 carries a shock rating of 10 gn for 11 ms per IEC 60068-2-27.
