Overview
The HMIRSPSXR6T01 is a Schneider Harmony iPC industrial rack PC, a 4U 19" rack-mount unit built around an Intel Xeon quad-core 1225 processor running at 3.1 GHz with 8 MB cache. It ships with Windows Server 2012 R2 and supports up to 32 GB of DDR3 ECC RAM (two 8 GB sticks fitted by default). The power supply is rated at 500 W and configured for redundant operation, and the chassis carries an IP40 rating for in-cabinet use.
As a performance-tier industrial PC, the HMIRSPSXR6T01 runs HMI, SCADA, and data-acquisition applications directly on the Windows Server OS. The Intel HD Graphics 2500 video controller drives displays up to 2048 x 1536 pixels via the onboard VGA and DVI ports. Connectivity includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports, four USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, one RS232 serial port standard (four more optional), plus audio I/O. The system has three PCI and four PCI Express 16x slots for expansion cards. Storage is handled by a 500 GB enterprise RAID hard disk in a hot-swap front tray, with one internal SATA3 slot and four hot-swap SATA2 trays total. Cooling uses two speed-controlled fans; a watchdog timer adjustable from 1 to 255 ms provides system-level fault monitoring.
Applications
This class of industrial rack PC is deployed as a central HMI/SCADA node in manufacturing lines, process skids, and material-handling systems. It runs operator interfaces, data historians, and supervisory control software, coordinating with PLCs and drives over Ethernet.
