Overview
The HMIST6400 is a Schneider Harmony ST6 HMI operator interface, a 7-inch colour TFT LCD panel with 800 x 480 pixel WVGA resolution, driven by an ARM Cortex-A8 processor and backed by 1 GB of device memory. It runs on a 24 V DC external supply, is rated IP20 for in-cabinet mounting, and supports Modbus Uni-TE plus third-party protocols for connectivity to a range of PLCs and controllers.
The HMIST6400 uses a single-touch analogue resistive touch panel over a 7-inch colour TFT LCD. The ARM Cortex-A8 at 800 MHz handles screen rendering, recipe management, and communication tasks. The 1 GB device memory and 128 MB user data memory provide capacity for application pages, alarms, and data logging — the 512 KB backup memory retains real-time clock and critical variables during power loss. On-board Ethernet at 10/100BASE supports Modbus Uni-TE and third-party protocols, allowing direct connection to Schneider and other automation controllers without an external gateway. The backlight is rated for 50000 hours white, and brightness adjusts across 16 levels.
Applications
This HMI is used on packaging lines, conveyor systems, material handling cells, and small process skids where a 7-inch operator panel provides machine status, alarm management, and parameter entry. The resistive touch screen suits gloved-hand operation common in food, beverage, and light industrial environments.
As an active Harmony ST6 model, the HMIST6400 remains in current production. Sourcing is through standard distribution channels; confirm lead time on the RFQ.
