The 20 A AC-1 rating at ≤415 V defines the maximum continuous resistive load current per pole. For motor loads this part is not rated; the AC-1 category means resistive duty only. Electrical durability is 150,000 cycles at AC-1 duty; mechanical durability is 10 million cycles. That means in a typical panel cycling a resistive load a few times per hour, the electrical contacts will outlast most machine rebuild intervals. The maximum operating rate is 1,800 cycles per hour at 60 °C, so it can keep pace with fast-cycling processes like packaging lines.
Mounting, connections, and environment
Screw-clamp terminals accept up to 6 mm² solid or 4 mm² flexible with ferrule on the power side; control circuit terminals handle the same range. Tightening torque is 1.2 N.m for both power and control circuits, so one torque driver setting covers the whole contactor. IP20 protection means it is safe for finger contact in enclosed panels but not for washdown areas. Operating altitude goes to 3,000 m without derating. The TH protective treatment per IEC 60068 means it is tested for tropical humid conditions.
The associated fuse rating for coordination type 1 is 12 A gG at ≤690 V — use that for short-circuit protection if coordination with the upstream device is required.
