Contactor selection brief
The LC1E1210B7 is a 3-pole contactor from Schneider Electric's Easy TeSys Control range, rated for 12 A in AC-3 duty (motor starting) and AC-3e (enhanced motor switching) up to 440 V. The 24 V AC coil at 50/60 Hz makes it a direct fit for control transformers or PLC relay outputs in panels where 24 VAC is the control voltage — common in older European installations or where DC coil noise is a concern. The built-in 1 NO auxiliary contact handles feedback or interlocking without an extra side-mount block.
The AC-3 rating at 12 A means this contactor directly switches a 3-phase induction motor drawing up to 12 A full-load — roughly a 5.5 kW motor at 400 V. The AC-1 rating covers resistive loads at the same current, so it also works for heater banks or lighting contactor duty. The 1.5 ms non-overlap time between NC and NO contacts (both on energisation and de-energisation) guarantees that make-before-break cannot occur, which matters for reversing starters or star-delta transitions where overlapping power legs would cause a phase-to-phase fault.

Operates from -5 °C to 55 °C ambient, with storage from -60 °C to 80 °C. The 850 °C glow-wire test (IEC 60695-2-1) confirms fire resistance for unattended or safety-critical circuits.
