The Schneider LC1E1210U5 is a 3-pole Easy TeSys Control contactor rated 12 A in AC-3 utilisation category at ≤440 V, with a 240 V AC coil.
The AC-3 rating at 12 A governs motor switching. For a motor load, size the contactor by the AC-3 current, not the nameplate FLA. The 240 V AC coil means the control circuit runs on line-voltage AC, not low-voltage DC. That's a common control voltage in older panels and some regions, but it won't work with a 24 VDC PLC output — you'd need an interposing relay or a different coil variant. That's critical for applications like reversing starters or star-delta transitions where overlapping contacts would short the supply.
The IP2X finger protection means the enclosure or panel door provides the real ingress barrier.
