DC Contactor for High-Voltage Switching
The Schneider Electric LC1E200ASCH2S260N is a 1-pole contactor from the Easy TeSys Control line, rated for continuous current of 200 A (Ith) and designed for resistive loads. It switches DC circuits up to 1000 V, making it suited for high-voltage battery banks, power supplies, or inverter DC links. The coil is 12 V DC, with a pull-in power of 32 W and a hold-in of 3.5 W. Minimum switching capability goes down to 0.1 A at 8 V DC, so it can handle low-level signals as well as high-current paths. Mechanical endurance is 300,000 cycles; electrical durability at full rating is 1500 make/break cycles at 750 V DC and 1000 cycles at 1000 V DC.
Ratings That Matter for Integration
The contactor carries short-time ratings that let it handle overloads: 250 A for 15 minutes, 320 A for 5 minutes, 600 A for 30 seconds, and 900 A for 10 seconds. That gives headroom for inrush without immediate derating. Insulation voltage is 1500 V, impulse withstand 8 kV (coil not connected to power circuit). Operating temperature range is -40°C to +85°C, same for storage. Altitude capability is 4000 m without derating. Vibration resistance is 5 g from 10 to 500 Hz; shock is 20 g for 11 ms. These ratings support use in mobile or industrial environments.
Mounting & Wiring Notes
Mounts vertically; dimensions are 3.2 in deep, 2.6 in wide, 2.9 in tall. Power terminals accept M8 bolts with flat and spring washers, torque to 70.8–88.5 lbf·in (8–10 N·m). The control circuit is a 2-wire DC supply with 15.7 in (40 cm) leads. IP60 protection means dust-tight but not waterproof. One NO auxiliary contact is built in.
