Switching life and electrical endurance
The LC1E20BDAT1S260N: Electrical endurance is specified for DC-1 resistive breaking: 2000 cycles at 750 V / 20 A, 1500 cycles at 1000 V / 20 A, and 1000 cycles at 1500 V / 20 A, with a 0.6 s open time and 5.4 s break interval. Mechanical durability is rated at 300,000 cycles. The ceramic arc chamber handles the DC arc without external blowout magnets — the arc is forced into the ceramic grid where it splits and extinguishes. This is the same arc-management approach used in higher-current DC contactors, scaled for the 20 A / 1500 V envelope.
Mounts vertically on a flat panel — the dimensions are 1.5 in (37 mm) wide, 1.9 in (47 mm) high, and 2.6 in (67 mm) deep. The power circuit terminals accept M4 nuts with flat and spring washers; torque to 22.1–31.0 lbf·in (2.5–3.5 N·m). Operating ambient temperature spans -40 to 185 °F (-40 to 85 °C), with no derating up to 4000 m altitude.
Designed and tested to IEC 60947-4-1 and GB/T 14048.4 for contactors and motor-starters. Insulation resistance measures 1000 MΩ at 1000 V DC. The contactor withstands 5 g vibration from 10 to 500 Hz and 20 g shock for 11 ms — figures that cover the mechanical environment inside an EV charging station cabinet or industrial control panel.
