It is rated for AC-3 duty at 25 A up to 440 V, which means it is sized for switching three-phase induction motors up to that current — the AC-3 category covers starting and plugging of squirrel-cage motors, where the contactor must handle inrush currents of 5 to 8 times the full-load current on make and break the locked-rotor current on break.
The IP2X finger protection on the front face means it is safe for open-panel use provided the wiring terminals are shrouded or the panel is behind a locked door.
The fire resistance rating of 850 °C per IEC 60695-2-1 means the moulded case will not propagate a flame under a glow-wire test — relevant for safety-critical installations where a fault arc must not escalate.
Environmental limits and mechanical robustness

The operating altitude of 3000 m without derating covers most installations below 10,000 ft — above that, the air density drop reduces the arc-quenching capability and the thermal dissipation, so the contactor must be derated per the manufacturer's curve. Mechanically rated for 3 Gn vibration when closed and 10 Gn shock for 11 ms; this is sufficient for most industrial machinery but not for direct mounting on a large reciprocating compressor without vibration isolators.
Switching timing for interlocking circuits
If this contactor is used to switch between a run and a standby motor starter, the 1.5 ms gap ensures the two contactors cannot close simultaneously — provided the control signal is clean and the coil suppression is correctly applied.
