Its headline rating is 50 A at up to 415 V AC — the current it can carry continuously in a resistive circuit without exceeding temperature limits. The four NO (normally-open) main poles close to make the load and open to break it, with an operating time of 12–22 ms on closing and 4–19 ms on opening. The coil is 220 V AC at 50 Hz, drawing 95 VA inrush at 20 °C.
The 50 A AC-1 rating is the key selection number — it tells you the contactor can handle resistive loads (heaters, ovens, lighting banks) at that current. AC-1 is the least stressful duty; for motor loads (AC-3) the same contactor would be derated.
The 56 mm width and 84 mm height fit standard panel layouts — plan for the 93 mm depth when the door clears. Connections are screw-clamp terminals: power circuit accepts up to 10 mm² flexible with cable end, control circuit up to 4 mm². Tightening torque is 2.1 N·m on the power side, 1.2 N·m on the control side.
