The Schneider Electric LC1E3801B5 is a 3-pole contactor from the Easy TeSys Control range, rated for motor control in AC-3 and AC-3e duty at 38 A up to 440 V, with a 24 V AC 50 Hz coil and one normally-closed auxiliary contact.
AC-3e is the enhanced version for energy-efficient motors with higher inrush. The AC-1 rating covers resistive loads at the same current level. The 24 V AC coil draws from a control transformer; verify the control circuit can supply the inrush at 50 Hz. Rated for operation at altitudes up to 3000 m without derating, and ambient temperatures from -5 °C to 55 °C operating, with storage from -60 °C to 80 °C. Mechanical robustness is specified for vibrations at 1.5 Gn (5-300 Hz) when open and 3 Gn when closed, and shocks at 6 Gn open / 10 Gn closed for 11 ms — sufficient for most industrial panel and machine-mounted applications.
It also meets EN/IEC 60335-1 Clause 30.2 and EN/IEC 60335-2-40 Annex JJ for glow-wire / fire resistance in household appliance applications. IP2X finger protection per IEC 60529.
