What the LC1E3810F5 is and what its ratings mean
The Schneider Electric LC1E3810F5 is a three-pole contactor from the Easy TeSys Control range, rated for 38 A in AC-3 and AC-3e utilisation categories at ≤440 V. The AC-3e suffix means it's also certified for the higher electrical endurance demands of certain motor applications per IEC 60947-4-1. The coil is 110 V AC, 50 Hz, and the built-in auxiliary is one normally-open contact. The contactor carries a guaranteed non-overlap time of 1.5 ms between NC and NO contacts on both energisation and de-energisation. That timing is critical in reversing or star-delta starters where you need to ensure one set of power contacts is fully open before the other closes — a short-circuit condition otherwise.
