Part identity and ratings
The Schneider Electric LC1E40E5 is a three-pole contactor from the Easy TeSys Control range, rated for AC-3 and AC-3e duty at 40 A up to 440 V, with a 48 V AC 50 Hz coil. It is also rated for AC-1 resistive loads, and is intended for motor control or resistive load switching. The contactor carries approvals to EN/IEC 60947-1, EN/IEC 60947-4-1, EN/IEC 60947-5-1, and the Chinese GB/T equivalents, plus EN/IEC 60335-1 and EN/IEC 60335-2-40 for appliance applications.
Dimensions are 127 mm high, 75 mm wide, and 114 mm deep.
The AC-1 rating covers resistive loads at the same current level. The 48 V AC 50 Hz coil is specific: if your control circuit runs on 48 V AC at 50 Hz, this coil matches; a 60 Hz supply would change coil impedance and may not hold in.
