The Schneider Electric LC1E40Q6 is a 3-pole contactor from the Easy TeSys Control range, rated for AC-3/AC-3e motor switching up to 40 A at ≤440 V and AC-1 resistive loads. The coil is 380 V AC at 60 Hz. The AC-3 rating means it is designed for starting and stopping squirrel-cage motors under full load — the 40 A figure governs the motor full-load current it can handle, not the inrush. The AC-3e rating extends that to energy-efficient motors with higher inrush characteristics.
Mounting and integration details
The contactor fits on a DIN rail or mounting plate. Dimensions are 127 mm height, 75 mm width, 114 mm depth — check your enclosure depth before committing, especially if using a shallow gland plate. The IP2X degree of protection means it is finger-safe but not sealed against dust or moisture; keep it inside the panel.
