The LC1E40U5 is a 3-pole contactor from Schneider Electric's Easy TeSys Control range, rated 40 A in AC-3/AC-3e duty at ≤440 V with a 240 V AC 50 Hz coil. That AC-3 rating means it handles starting and stopping of squirrel-cage motors up to that current — the standard motor-switching category per IEC 60947-4-1. The 3P(3NO) pole configuration gives three normally-open power poles for a three-phase motor circuit. Mounts on plate or DIN rail, so it fits standard panel layouts.
