Overview
The LC1E65M5 is a Schneider Electric Easy TeSys Control contactor, 3-pole normally open, rated 65 A in AC-3 utilisation category at ≤440 V. The coil is 220 V AC, 50 Hz. It carries EN/IEC 60947-4-1 and GB/T 14048.4 certifications and is rated IP2X per IEC 60529.
Function & operation
Three main poles switch motor or resistive loads up to 65 A in AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor starting) or AC-1 (resistive) duty. The 1.5 ms guaranteed non-overlap between NC and NO contacts prevents momentary bridging during coil energisation or de-energisation — critical for interlocking circuits where simultaneous closure would short phases.
Applications
This contactor is used in motor control centres, pump panels, conveyor drives, and HVAC equipment for switching three-phase motors up to 65 A full-load current. The AC-3e rating covers enhanced motor starting duty. It also handles resistive heating loads under AC-1.
