The LC1E80B5 is a 3-pole contactor from the Easy TeSys Control range, rated 80 A in AC-3 duty at ≤440 V — that is the motor-switching current for squirrel-cage induction motors, so it handles a 37 kW motor at 400 V three-phase. The same contactor carries an AC-1 resistive load rating for heater or lighting banks; the AC-3e category adds an energy-efficiency class for IEC motor starters. The 24 V AC 50 Hz coil keeps it in the conventional control-voltage family for retrofit panels, though the 50 Hz-only coil means a 60 Hz supply will pull in at a lower voltage and may hum — verify supply frequency before wiring. Mounts on either a DIN rail or a plate, which is typical for panel builders who want the option to clip it onto a 35 mm rail or bolt it flat. The 85 mm width and 127 mm height fit a standard contactor footprint; depth of 121 mm leaves clearance for front-accessible wiring and auxiliary blocks.
Environmental and compliance envelope
Operates from -5 °C to 55 °C ambient, with storage from -60 °C to 80 °C. Altitude derating kicks in above 3000 m; below that, no current reduction needed.
Integration notes
IP2X finger protection on the contactor body means it can be mounted in open panels without additional shrouding, though a panel door or cover is still required for full IP3X or higher. Mechanical robustness: the contactor withstands 1.5 Gn vibration when open, 3 Gn when closed, and shock up to 7 Gn closed — sufficient for most industrial machinery, including compressors and conveyors mounted near the source. For high-vibration applications (crushers, large presses), a mechanical latch or anti-vibration bracket should be considered.
