The LC1F115N522L is a 3-pole contactor from the TeSys F series, rated for motor control and resistive loads across AC-1, AC-3, and AC-4 utilisation categories. Its headline rating is 55 kW at 380–400 V AC (AC-3) — that is the motor it can switch under standard starting duty, meaning it handles the inrush and breaking current of a 55 kW induction motor on a 400 V line. The 200 A rated operational current (Ie) at ≤ 440 V AC-3 is the continuous current the main poles carry; the AC-3 rating is the one that governs real motor-switching fit, not the higher AC-1 resistive rating. The control circuit is a 415 V AC 50 Hz coil, with an operational range of 0.85–1.1 Uc and a drop-out threshold of 0.35–0.55 Uc. Closing time runs 23–35 ms, opening 5–15 ms. The contactor carries 2 NO + 2 NC auxiliary contacts built in, and the power circuit terminates on bolted connections accepting bars up to 20 x 3 mm or ring terminals up to 95 mm². Tightening torque for the power circuit is 10 N·m. The contactor is plate-mounted, not DIN-rail — it bolts to a backplate in the panel. IP2X protection on the front face with shrouds meets IEC 60529 and VDE 0106, suitable for enclosed industrial panels where accidental finger contact is the concern.
The part complies with EN 60947-1, EN 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-1, IEC 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1 and 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. Overvoltage category III. The protective treatment is TH (tropicalized) for humid environments.
Integration notes
Mounts on a plate — not a DIN rail — so plan for a drilled backplate or sub-panel. The dimensions are 6.7 in deep, 6.4 in wide, 10.4 in tall. Power circuit wiring uses bolted connections; the control circuit uses screw clamp terminals accepting 1–4 mm² solid or stranded. Associated fuse rating is 125 A aM or 200 A gG at ≤ 440 V. Heat dissipation runs 12–16 W total, with 15 W per pole in AC-1 and 5 W per pole in AC-3 — factor that into enclosure thermal calculations. Rated breaking capacity is 920 A conforming to IEC 60947-4-1. For UL/CSA installations, the motor power ratings are 75 hp at 460 V AC and 100 hp at 575 V AC. The contactor also carries a DC operational voltage rating of ≤ 460 V DC — useful if you are switching DC loads, but verify the DC-1 or DC-3 current rating separately since the evidence does not provide it.
