What This Contactor Does — and What It Costs You in Setup Time
The Schneider Electric LC1F115V7 is a 3-pole TeSys F contactor with a 400 V AC coil, rated 200 A in AC-3 duty at ≤440 V. The part is marked end-of-life (EOL) by the manufacturer, so it's not coming off the production line. The IEC 60947-4-1 and EN 60947-4-1 standards it conforms to are the ones that govern contactors and motor starters — that's your selectivity and coordination baseline.
Sourcing Reality — EOL Part, Not a Dead End
The lifecycle status is end-of-life hot (EOL). That means Schneider no longer manufactures the LC1F115V7. No factory lead time applies because there's no factory run. If you're replacing a failed unit on an existing panel, the plate-mount footprint (162 x 163.3 x 171 mm) and the power-circuit bolted connection are the dimensions you need to match.
Mounting is plate-only — no DIN-rail clip on this frame size. The power circuit accepts bar (20 x 3 mm busbar cross-section), ring-terminal lugs up to 95 mm², or a bolted connection. Control wiring is screw-clamp terminals, 1 to 4 mm² flexible without ferrule, or 1 to 2.5 mm² with ferrule. Tightening torque is 10 N·m on the power circuit and 1.2 N·m on the control circuit. The IP2X front face with shrouds meets IEC 60529 — enough for a standard enclosed panel, not for washdown. Heat dissipation runs 5.9 to 7.2 W total, with 15 W per pole in AC-1 and 5 W per pole in AC-3. That's not a lot of heat for a 200 A frame, but in a densely packed panel you still want to check the thermal rise against the ambient operating range (-40 to 60 °C). The coil holds at 400 V AC 40-400 Hz, with a dropout window of 0.2 to 0.55 Uc — so it drops out somewhere between 80 and 220 V on that coil. That's a wide dropout band; don't count on it to sequence a downstream device without verifying the actual dropout point on your specific supply.
Motor Power Coverage — What It Switches
On a 400 V AC three-phase supply, the LC1F115V7 is rated for 55 kW in AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor starting). At 415 V it handles 59 kW, at 500 V it handles 75 kW, and at 690 V it handles 80 kW. For AC-4 (plugging / inching duty) at 400 V it's rated 18.5 kW — roughly one-third of the AC-3 figure, which is typical for the higher thermal stress of reversing and jogging.
