TeSys F 1260 A Contactor — End-of-Life Sourcing
The Schneider Electric LC1F1250N7 is a TeSys F series 3-pole contactor rated for 1260 A conventional free air thermal current (Ith) and 1260 A operational current in AC-1 utilisation category, making it suited for switching resistive loads such as large heating banks or furnace elements. The 415 V AC control circuit draws 1650 VA inrush and 22 VA hold-in power. This part is marked end-of-life (EOL) by the manufacturer, so procurement should plan for last-time-buy or alternative sourcing through independent distribution.
Ratings and Application Context
The AC-1 rating (1260 A at 40 °C) governs resistive loads — this is not a motor-starting contactor; for inductive motor duty (AC-3) a different frame or derating applies. The contactor carries 1000 A gG fuse coordination at ≤ 440 V. Short-time withstand current (Icw) is 8000 A for 10 s, 3000 A for 3 min, providing fault-clearing capability within the protection scheme.
Designed to IEC 60947-4-1, EN 60947-4-1, IEC 60947-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1 and 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C. Impulse withstand voltage (Uimp) is 8 kV, overvoltage category III. Protective treatment TH indicates tropicalised protection against humidity and corrosion.
Physical Integration
Plate-mount design — no DIN-rail clip. Dimensions: 13.3 in (338 mm) height, 12.2 in (309 mm) width, 10.04 in (255 mm) depth. Power circuit connections are bolted bar connections (2 x 100 x 5 mm). Control circuit uses screw clamp terminals accepting 1 to 4 mm² flexible or solid wire. Tightening torque: 58 N·m on power circuit, 1.2 N·m on control circuit. Heat dissipation is 20 W total, 120 W per pole in AC-1 duty.
