1260 A AC-1 contactor for resistive loads — lifecycle note
The Schneider Electric LC1F1250W7 is a TeSys F 3-pole contactor rated 1260 A conventional free-air thermal current (Ith) and 1260 A operational current (Ie) in AC-1 utilisation category at 40 °C. That AC-1 rating means it is specified for resistive loads — heaters, furnaces, lighting banks — where the current waveform stays near-sinusoidal and inrush is minimal. The coil pulls 1650 VA inrush, holds at 22 VA, on a 265-277 V AC supply at 40-400 Hz.
Rated insulation voltage (Ui) is 1000 V per IEC 60947-4-1, with a 1500 V rating under VDE 0110 group C. Impulse withstand (Uimp) is 8 kV. The short-time withstand current (Icw) profile: 8000 A for 10 s, 5200 A for 30 s, 4000 A for 1 min, 3000 A for 3 min, 2000 A for 10 min — all at 40 °C. Associated fuse rating is 1000 A gG at ≤ 440 V. Rated breaking capacity is 1890 A conforming to IEC 60947-4-1. These numbers define the selectivity and SCCR headroom for the panel designer. Heat dissipation is 20 W total, with 120 W per pole in AC-1 duty. Average impedance per pole is 0.12 mOhm at 1260 A, 50 Hz. The power circuit uses bar terminals sized for 2 x 100 x 5 mm busbars; control circuit terminals accept 1-4 mm² flexible or solid wire. Tightening torque is 58 N.m on the power circuit and 1.2 N.m on the control circuit.
Plate-mounted — no DIN-rail clip on this frame size. Dimensions: width 309 mm, height 338 mm, depth 255 mm. Ambient temperature range for operation is -5 to 40 °C; storage range is -60 to 80 °C. Protective treatment is TH (tropicalised). Overvoltage category III. Maximum operating rate is 1200 cycles per hour at 55 °C.
Standards compliance includes IEC 60947-4-1, EN 60947-1, EN 60947-4-1, and JIS C8201-4-1. The contactor is rated for AC-1 utilisation category only on this listing. Operating time: 40-80 ms closing, 100-200 ms opening. Control circuit voltage limits: operational 0.85-1.1 Uc, drop-out 0.25-0.5 Uc at 55 °C.
