The Schneider Electric LC1F1400Q7 is a 3-pole TeSys F contactor rated for 1400 A in AC-1 utilisation category (resistive loads), with a 380 V AC control coil at 40...400 Hz. Plate-mounted, sized for panel integration at 438 mm wide by 332 mm tall by 238.6 mm deep.
Short-time withstand (Icw) is 8000 A for 10 s, 6000 A for 30 s, tapering to 2600 A for 10 min — useful for coordinating with upstream fuses or breakers during a fault-clearing delay. The associated fuse recommendation is 1600 A gG at ≤ 440 V. Control circuit is AC only, 380 V nominal, with an operational range of 0.85...1.1 Uc and drop-out between 0.3...0.5 Uc. Inrush power is 2200 VA at cos φ 0.9; hold-in consumption drops to 36 VA. Opening time is 100...170 ms, closing 40...75 ms — the asymmetry matters for sequencing interlocks. Heat dissipation is 36 W total, 150 W per pole in AC-1 duty, so panel ventilation or spacing for that thermal load is needed. Standards coverage includes IEC 60947-4-1, EN 60947-1, EN 60947-4-1, JIS C8201-4-1, UL 60947-4-1, and CSA C22.2 No 60947-4-1 — the UL/CSA marks clear it for North American panels. Rated insulation voltage is 1000 V per IEC/UL, 1500 V per VDE 0110 Group C. Impulse withstand is 8 kV, overvoltage category III. Protective treatment is TH (tropicalised) for humid environments.
Integration notes
Plate-mounted — no DIN-rail clip. Power circuit connections are bar-type (busbar cross-section up to 100 x 5 mm) or bolted; control circuit uses screw-clamp terminals accepting 1...4 mm² flexible or solid. Tightening torque is 58 N·m on the power side, 1.2 N·m on the control side. The 438 mm width and 332 mm height require a backplate or sub-panel with clearance for busbar runs and arc-chamber venting.
