The LC1F1504B7 is a TeSys F 4-pole contactor from Schneider Electric, rated 250 A in AC-3 duty at ≤440 V — that is the motor-switching current, not the resistive-heater current. For a 400 V three-phase induction motor, it handles 75 kW (AC-3); at 415 V it carries 80 kW, and at 690 V it goes to 100 kW. The coil is 24 V AC, 40–400 Hz, with a pickup range of 0.85–1.1 Uc and dropout between 0.2–0.55 Uc at 55 °C. Closing time is 35 ms, opening 130 ms — fast enough for most motor-start sequences but not for a safety stop without a separate auxiliary contact block. The contactor is certified to IEC 60947-4-1 and IEC 60947-1, plus JIS C8201-4-1. That means the rated breaking capacity of 1200 A and the rated insulation voltage of 1000 V (1500 V per VDE 0110 group C) are verified under the standard's test conditions. Overvoltage category III suits fixed-installation distribution panels.
Mounting is plate-mount (not DIN rail). Dimensions: 170 mm height, 163.5 mm width, 171 mm depth. The power circuit uses bolted connections or bar connections (25 x 3 mm busbar); control circuit uses screw-clamp terminals accepting 1–4 mm² flexible or solid wire. Tightening torque: 18 N·m on the power side, 1.2 N·m on the control side. The front face achieves IP2X with shrouds per IEC 60529 and VDE 0106 — basic finger protection, not washdown-rated.
Environmental and durability
Altitude rating is 3000 m without derating. Heat dissipation runs 5.9–7.2 W total; power dissipation per pole is 22 W in AC-1 and 8 W in AC-3. The coil hold-in consumption is 6.6–8.1 VA at 20 °C. Protective treatment is TH (tropicalized).
