The Schneider Electric LC1F150Q522L is a 3-pole contactor from the TeSys F series, rated for 250 A operational current in AC-3 duty (motor switching) at up to 440 V AC. It carries a 380 V AC 50 Hz control coil and is built to IEC 60947-4-1, with a rated insulation voltage of 1000 V per that standard and 1500 V per VDE 0110 group C.
Motor Power Ratings and Application
This contactor switches motor loads across a wide voltage range: 75 kW at 380–400 V AC, 80 kW at 415 V, 90 kW at 500 V, and 100 kW at 660–690 V, all in AC-3. For UL/CSA installations, it is rated 100 hp at 460 V AC and 125 hp at 575 V AC. The AC-4 rating (reversing/inching duty) is 22 kW at 400 V. It also handles resistive loads (AC-1) and is specified for both motor control and resistive load applications.
Physical Integration and Wiring
The contactor measures 6.4 in wide by 6.7 in deep by 11.9 in high (163.5 x 171 x 301 mm) and is plate-mounted. Power circuit connections use bolted terminals or ring lugs up to 120 mm²; control circuit wiring uses screw clamp terminals accepting 1–4 mm² flexible or solid wire. Tightening torque is 159.3 lbf·in (18 N·m) for power and 10.6 lbf·in (1.2 N·m) for control. The front face with shrouds provides IP2X protection per IEC 60529.
Auxiliary Contacts and Control Circuit
Built-in auxiliary contacts are 2 NO + 2 NC. The control coil operates at 380 V AC 50 Hz, with an operational voltage range of 0.85–1.1 Uc and a drop-out range of 0.35–0.55 Uc. Inrush power is 550 VA at 50 Hz; hold-in consumption is 45 VA. Closing time is 23–35 ms, opening 5–15 ms.
The contactor withstands vibration at 6 Gn (closed) and shock at 15 Gn (closed). Maximum operating rate is 2400 cycles per hour at 55 °C. Heat dissipation is 12–16 W, with 22 W per pole in AC-1 and 8 W per pole in AC-3.
